Taiwo Otuneye started his career in the financial sector in Nigeria in the year 1994 and worked in varied roles.  He worked as a Legal Officer, Niger Insurance Plc, before being seconded to NIC Securities & Trust Ltd formerly NIC Trustees Ltd where he rose to become the Chief Executive Officer.

In the year 2005, Taiwo was redeployed to Niger Insurance Plc, as Company Secretary/Legal Adviser, a position he held till June 2019, before resigning to set up a private law practice in October 2019.

Taiwo is a Law graduate of Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife and was called to the Nigerian Bar.  He holds a Degree of Master of Laws (LL.M). Taiwo is currently the Company Secretary/Head Legal and Compliance of FBS Reinsurance Limited.  His core competences are in the areas of Legal Research, Corporate Law, Corporate Governance and Board Governance.

He has attended numerous domestic and international courses.  Mr. Otuneye is also an Alumnus of the Lagos Business School (LBS) SMP 48.
